The Hunger Games is for the big screen adaptation of the the first installment of the successful literary science fiction signed by Suzanne Collins trilogy. The film will be directed by Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, beyond of the legend, Pleasantville) and will take us to a future apocalyptic post where a tyrannical Government called the Capitol dominates the country of Panem, divided into twelve districts.
This Government obliges each of the districts to deliver a boy and a girl to celebrate the annual games called Hunger Games, a fight to death broadcast live by television. Jennifer Lawrence - Oscar-nominated by Winter's Bone - gives life to Katniss Everdeen, one of the participants in such cruel games.
A role which, as you can see on the cover of EW, demanded a great job of characterization. "I felt as a rag doll - admits the young actress - had make-up and hairdressing people living at my house every day to test me uncomfortable and strange dresses and shoes".
And despite all these drawbacks, I knew before accepting the role, Lawrence said yes. "I knew that as I told him that Yes to the director, my life was going to change." "He walked days down the street thinking in not too late, is still could go back and do indie film". But recognizes the actress, "I love this story and if had said that no, I would be regretting all the days of my life".
